Instructions

Back

Using a 3 mm hook, chain 97 (105) 113 sts + 1 turning chain, work 2 rows of sc, then switch to a 4 mm hook and work in the main pattern. Finish the piece after 55 cm from the starting row.

Left Front

Using a 3 mm hook, chain 49 (53) 57 sts + 1 turning chain, work 2 rows of sc, then switch to a 4 mm hook and work in the main pattern; for size 40-42 finish with the stitches up to the arrow and 1 dc.

After 48 cm from the starting row, leave 4 cm unworked at the left edge for the neckline, and for the curve leave an additional 4 x 2 cm unworked in each following row.

For a neat curve, we recommend skipping the first 1 cm of the row using a slip stitch and the next 1 cm using chain stitches; at the end of the row, skip the second-to-last centimeter using 1 dc.

Finish working on the remaining shoulder stitches at the same height as the back.

Right Front

Work as a mirror image.

Finishing

Sew the seams, leaving the top 22 (23) 24 cm of the side seams open for the armholes.

Using a 3 mm hook, work 4 rounds of sc around each armhole. Begin each round with 1 extra turning chain and finish with 1 slip stitch into the first sc of the round.

Using a 3 mm hook, work 4 rows of sc along the front edges of the fronts and the neckline; in the 2nd row, make 5 buttonholes on the right front (= instead of 2 sc, work 2 chains).

Make the first buttonhole at the start of the neckline, and the remaining buttonholes every 10 cm.

Using a 3 mm hook, work 4 rows of sc along the bottom edge and the short sides of the front bands.

Sew on the buttons.
