Pattern Pieces

Instructions
Front
With a 3.5 mm hook, chain 130 (146) + 3 turning ch and work in main pattern. After 35 cm from the starting row, continue working with a 3 mm hook. The resulting decrease in width is shown on the pattern piece as a slant.
After 64 cm from the starting row, leave 1/2 repeat on each side unworked for the armholes, then 2 x 1/2 repeat in each following row, 1 x 1/2 repeat in the next 2nd row, and 3 x 1/2 repeat in every 4th row. This corresponds to 28 sts of the starting row.
After 87 cm from the starting row, finish off the work on the remaining stitches.
Back
Work the same as the front, but with a slit. To do this, after 64 cm from the starting row, divide the work in half and finish both sides separately to the back’s length.
Straps
Make 4 pieces.
With a 3.5 mm hook, chain 37 + 3 turning ch and work in mesh pattern = 9 repeats + starting and ending stitches. The starting and ending stitches correspond to 1/2 repeat.
After 49 cm from the starting row, leave 1/2 repeat unworked on each side, then leave another 7 x 1/2 repeat unworked. After 79 cm from the starting row, finish off the work.
Finishing
Sew the side seams, catching 2 straps on each side at the starting row edge. The distance of the 1st strap from the lower edge is about 26 cm; position the 2nd strap with a 6 cm overlap.
Sew the shoulder seams on both sides to a width of 1/2 repeat = 1.5 cm (1.5 repeats = 4 cm).
For the stand-up collar, work single crochet around the remaining neckline stitches in main pattern. Finish the work when the collar measures 7 cm.
Work around the armholes and slit edges with 1 round/row of single crochet and 1 round/row of crab stitch (= single crochet worked from left to right).
For both buttonholes, skip 1 cm of edge at the beginning and end of the collar and work 2 chain sts. Sew on the buttons in the corresponding spots.
