Instructions

Back

With orange yarn, chain 81 (87) 96 sts + 3 turning ch and work in stripe pattern following the color sequence = 26 (28) 31 pattern repeats + starting and 2 ending sts.

For the armholes, after 59 (57) 55 cm from the starting row, skip 2 pattern repeats on each side and, on the remaining 22 (24) 27 repeats + starting and ending sts, end the piece after 78 cm = 78 rows from the starting row.

Left Front

With orange yarn, chain 90 (93) 96 sts + 3 turning ch and work in stripe pattern following the color sequence = 29 (30) 31 pattern repeats + starting and 2 ending sts.

For the side slant, decrease along the right edge over the next 52 (51) 49 rows, evenly distributed, by 27 (25.5) 24.5 cm. This corresponds to 47 (45) 43 starting sts.

For the armhole, after 52 (51) 49 cm from the starting row, skip 2 pattern repeats along the right edge.

Then for the slant along the right edge, decrease over the next 12 (13) 15 rows, evenly distributed, by 12.5 (13.5) 15 cm. This corresponds to 22 (24) 26 starting sts.

On the remaining shoulder sts (corresponding to 15 (18) 21 starting sts), end the piece after 64 cm = 64 rows from the starting row.

Right Front

Work the same as the left front, but mirrored.

Sleeves

With orange yarn, chain 45 (48) 51 sts + 3 turning ch for each sleeve and work in stripe pattern following the color sequence.

For the sleeve slant, after 15 cm = 15 rows from the starting row, increase on both sides over the next 36 rows, evenly distributed, by 6 (7.5) 8.5 cm following the pattern. This corresponds to 11 (13) 15 starting sts. End the piece after 52 cm = 52 rows from the starting row.

Finishing

Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves, stretching the front edges as needed. Sew the side seams and sleeve seams. Work 1 row of sc and “crab stitch” (= sc worked from left to right) along the front edges and neckline in dark olive yarn. Sew the top parts of the buttons to the wrong side of the right front, the 1st button about 1 cm from the lower edge, the rest spaced 15 cm apart. Overlap the jacket fronts, mark the position of the bottom button parts and sew them to the left front. Sew the flower to the left front above the top button.
