Instructions

With cognac yarn, chain 121 sts + 3 turning ch and work according to the pattern sequence.

After 42 cm = 35 rows from the starting row (= after 8 rows of main pattern in orange yarn), divide the work for the neckline after the first 61 dc of the main pattern and continue working both halves separately, adding 1 dc along the inner edge of the 2nd half as an edge stitch.

After 24 cm = 20 rows from the division, continue working on all stitches as one piece again, decreasing the added dc in the 1st row.

After 108 cm = 92 rows from the starting row (= end of the pattern sequence), finish the work.

Finishing

Fold the piece in half lengthwise and sew a seam 24 cm long on both sides for the sleeves.

Edge the neckline with dark red yarn in 1 round of sc and crab stitch (= sc worked from left to right), skipping 1 stitch of the previous round continuously in the 2nd round.

Edge the bottom with dark red yarn in the bobble edging pattern, working 204 sc in the 1st round.

Weave fringe into the sleeve edges: for each fringe bundle, cut 1 orange-brown strand and alternately 1 cognac, 1 dark red, and 1 orange strand, each 52 cm long, fold in half and weave in. The finished fringe is about 25 cm long.
