Instructions

Back

Chain 129 (145) 161 sts + 3 turning ch and work in diamond stitch pattern.

For the side taper, decrease alternately on both sides every 6th + 8th row from the starting row, 7 x 1 cm.

After 63 (61) 59 cm from the starting row, bind off 2 cm on both sides for the armholes, then shape by decreasing 1 x 2 cm and 3 (5) 7 x 1 cm in every following row.

After 74 cm from the starting row, leave the center 6 (9) 12 cm for the neckline and finish both sides separately.

To shape the inner edge, decrease 3 x 3 cm in every following row. On the remaining stitches (still part of the neckline), finish the work after 78.5 cm from the starting row.

Front

Work as for the back.

Finishing

Sew the side seams.

For the neckline band, chain 232 (250) 268 sts + 1 turning ch and work in Pattern 2. Finish the work after 5 rows from the starting row.

Sew the band seam and mark its center. Sew the band’s starting row to the neckline of the front and back so that the band seam lies at the center back, and the center of the band lies at the center front. Make sure the armholes are the same size on both sides.

Work 1 round of slip stitches around the armholes, including the lower edge of the band.
