Instructions
Right Leg
With white yarn, chain 45 (51) 57 sts + 3 turning ch instead of the first dc, then work back and forth in rows.
After 37 (41) 45 cm from the starting row, leave the stitches on hold.
Left Leg
Work the same as the right leg.
Upper Part
Next, work in rounds joining the stitches of the right and left legs, additionally casting on 2 x 9 chains between the legs for the crotch = 108 (120) 132 sts = 18 (20) 22 pattern repeats.
For the gusset on the front and back middle, above the crotch stitches, decrease 3 x 2 starting stitches every 2nd row = 96 (108) 120 sts = 16 (18) 20 pattern repeats.
After 16 (18) 20 cm from the start of the crotch, finish the piece. With circular needles, pick up 96 (108) 120 sts along the top edge with white yarn, work 2 cm in stockinette stitch for the waistband, 1 round of purl stitches, then again 2 cm in stockinette stitch. Bind off.
Finishing
Dampen the piece, stretch it according to the measurements given in the schematic, pin it out on the schematic, and leave to dry completely.
Sew the inseam and side seams.
Fold the waistband to half its width to the wrong side and sew in place, leaving a small opening in the seam. Thread the elastic band through the casing.
