Knitting the Pullover
Back: to make a square, cast on 24 sts on 5 mm needles and work in the main pattern. After 19 cm from the start, bind off all sts. Then knit the yellow, red, beige, and green squares. Crochet around them (not catching the bottom edge of the yellow and green squares) with a 2.5 mm hook and light beige yarn, 1 row of single crochet. Join the squares together with a triple treble crochet stitch and 5 slip stitches along the edging of the adjoining square. In the neckline area, work 2 rows of mesh. Work the straps in mesh (= 8 squares).
Front: work the same as the back, but make a deeper neckline. To do this, skip the second row of mesh.
Left Sleeve: to knit the yellow part, cast on 15 sts with yellow yarn on 5 mm needles and work in the main pattern, increasing for the sleeve slant on the right side by alternating 10 x 1 st every 4th and 6th row (= 25 sts). After 49 cm from the start, bind off for the sleeve cap on the right side 3 sts, then in every 2nd row bind off 1 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts. After 63 cm from the start, bind off the remaining 8 sts. Knit the red part symmetrically with red yarn. Crochet around the inner edges of the sleeve parts with a 2.5 mm hook and light beige yarn, 1 row of single crochet, and join them together with a triple treble crochet stitch and 5 slip stitches along the edging of the adjoining piece.
Right Sleeve: work symmetrically.
Finishing: sew the shoulder seams; set in the sleeves, sew the side seams and sleeve seams. Crochet around the neckline with a 2.5 mm hook and light beige yarn, 1 row of single crochet.
