At a height of 40 cm, bind off 4 sts on each side for the armholes. At a height of 53 cm, bind off the center 20 sts for the neckline, then on each side 5 sts, 4 sts, 3 sts, and 1 st. At a total height of 59 cm, bind off 12 sts for each shoulder and finish knitting.
Sleeves of the Knit Sweater
With 4 mm needles, cast on 52 sts and work 16 cm in rib. Continue knitting the sweater with 4.5 mm needles in pattern from the chart, increasing 1 st on each side every 10th row, 2 times. At a height of 54 cm, bind off 4 sts on each side, 4 times, for the sleeve cap; leave the remaining 24 sts and finish knitting.
Finishing the Knit Sweater
Pin the sweater pieces to a pattern shape, dampen, and let them dry. Sew one shoulder seam. With 4 mm needles, pick up 110 sts around the neckline edge, work 6 cm in rib, and bind off all sts in pattern. Sew the second shoulder seam, set in the sleeves, and complete the remaining seams.
