Patterns and Charts

Circular Motif

Make a chain of 8 ch and join it into a ring with 1 sl st.

Work in rounds according to the chart, starting each round with the given number of chains instead of the first stitch and ending with 1 sl st into the top of the starting chain. If needed, move to the beginning of the next round with a sl st.

Work rounds 1–3 once, working the sc and tr sts only around the chain of the previous round.

Work each following motif the same as the first, but join it to the previous motif in round 3. To do this, instead of a chain, work 1 sl st around the chain of the neighboring motif, as shown on the chart.

The chart shows 4 circular motifs with joining stitches, filling motifs, and the closing edge.
