Lace Flower Motif
Work with a 2.5 mm hook. Chain 5 and join with a slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring. Work in rounds.
Round 1: Chain 5 (the first 3 chains count as the first dc), *work 1 dc into the ring, ch 2*, repeat from * to * 7 more times, join the round with a sl st into the 3rd chain from the start of the round = you should have 8 sets of 1 dc and ch 2 worked into the ring.
Important: weave in the tail from the starting chain as you work around the ring and trim it once the round is finished.
Round 2: 1 sl st into the ch-2 sp, ch 4 (counts as the first tr) and 3 tr into the same ch-2 sp, *ch 11, 4 tr into the next ch-2 sp, ch 3, 4 tr into the next ch-2 sp*, repeat from * to *, end with ch 11, 4 tr into the last ch-2 sp, ch 3, join the round with a sl st into the 4th chain from the start of the round = 4 “corners” of ch-11 and 4 sets of ch-3 between the “corners”.

Gauge
Each lace motif measures approximately 6.5 x 6.5 cm.
Instructions
The tunic is worked in one piece from the lower edge of the front to the lower edge of the back.
Make 8 (9) motifs and join them at the “corners” as follows: chain 5, 1 sl st into the center of the ch-11 loop of another motif, chain 5, work to the ch-3 and continue as follows: ch 1, 1 sl st into the center of the ch-3 of another motif, ch 1, work to the next “corner” = chain 5, 1 sl st into the center of the ch-11 loop of another motif, chain 5.
Important: make sure all motifs are facing right side up when joining.
Continue working row by row following the instructions = motifs are joined to the previous row as described above.
Once 5 rows have been worked and joined into a piece, begin working the sleeves = see the chart for the appropriate size.
Once 7 rows have been worked, begin shaping the neckline = see the chart for the appropriate size.
For size S/M the middle of the work is row 9.
For size L/XL the middle falls between rows 9 and 10.
Continue working the second half of the piece according to the chart.
Finishing
Sew the side edges of the tunic together the same way the motifs were joined during the work (where needed, see the chart, fold motifs diagonally).
