Instructions

Lower Border

Work a total of 30 (36) flower motifs and join them following Chart 1. First join 10 (12) motifs into a strip, joining the 10th (12th) motif also to the 1st motif to form the 1st ring. Work the 2nd and 3rd rings the same as the 1st, joining the offset motifs to the previous ring; border height = 27 cm.

Back

Work 1 connecting row around 5 (6) motifs of the top ring of the border. Continue in the main pattern, working 56 (68) sts in row 1.

At the same time, for the side shaping, decrease 1 x 1 st on both sides in every 8th row from the start of working the pattern (= at the start of the row skip 1 st, working a sl st; at the end of the row leave 1 st unworked) = 50 (62) sts.

After 43 cm from the start of working the pattern, decrease 3 sts on both sides for the armholes, then 3 x 1 st in every row = 38 (50) sts.

After 60 (62.5) cm from the start of working the main pattern, skip the center 16 (22) sts for the neckline and continue both sides separately.

After 61.5 (64) cm from the start of working the pattern, finish off the remaining 11 (14) sts for the shoulders.

Front

Work the same as the back, but for a deeper neckline, after 54.5 (57) cm from the start of working the pattern, skip the center 10 (16) sts and finish both sides separately.

For the inner edge curve, decrease 3 x 1 st in every row.

Sleeves

For each sleeve, chain 26 (32) sts + 3 turning ch and work in the main pattern.

For the sleeve shaping, increase 1 st on both sides after 3 cm from the starting row, then alternately in every 6th and 4th row increase 5 x 1 st following the pattern = 38 (44) sts.

After 44 cm from the starting row, decrease 3 sts on both sides for the sleeve cap, then decrease 8 x 1 st in every row.

After 57 cm from the starting row, finish off the remaining 16 (22) sts.

Finishing

Sew the shoulder seams.

Work the picot edging around the neckline.

Sew in the sleeves, then sew the side and sleeve seams.

Work the picot edging around the sleeve edges.
