Stitch Patterns and Charts
Main Pattern
Work in double crochet (dc). Begin each row with 3 turning chains to replace the first dc, and end with 1 dc in the last turning chain of the previous row.
Filet Pattern
Number of stitches is a multiple of 2 + 41.
Work according to the chart. Start with the stitches before repeat A, repeat A is worked continuously, work the stitches between repeat A and repeat C once = repeat B. Repeat C is worked continuously; end with the stitches after repeat C.
Work rows 1–15 once, then repeat rows 2–15 continuously.

Filet Mesh
Work over an odd number of stitches, alternating 1 dc, 1 chain (ch), end with 1 dc.
Gauge
20.5 sts x 10.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked in filet pattern.

Instructions
Back
Chain 95 (103) 111 + 3 turning chains and work the band in main pattern for 3 cm = 3 rows. Continue as follows: start with the stitches before repeat A, work repeat A 4 (6) 8 times, 30 stitches of repeat B, work repeat C 4 times, 30 stitches of repeat B, work repeat C 4 (6) 8 times, end with the stitches after repeat C.
After 14 cm from the band, work the first and last 5 stitches on both sides in filet mesh.
After 58 (56) 54 cm from the band, skip 8 sts on both sides for the armholes = 79 (87) 95 sts.
After 76 cm from the band, finish the piece.
Front
Work as for the back, but with a slit and a neckline. To do this, after 31 cm from the band, work the center 5 sts in main pattern, and continue on both sides of them as before.
In the next 2 rows, widen the main pattern by 1 st on each side.
After 34 cm from the band, divide the work in the center by doubling the center stitch. First continue working the right half over 48 (52) 56 sts, working the last 5 sts before the start of the slit in main pattern.
Work the armhole decreases on the right edge as for the back = 40 (44) 48 sts.
After 24 cm from the division, at the left edge skip 8 sts for the neckline, then for shaping decrease in every following row 1 x 4 sts, 2 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st.
Finish the remaining 22 (26) 30 shoulder stitches after 76 cm from the band.
Work the left half as a mirror image.
Sleeves
For each sleeve, chain 67 (71) 75 + 3 turning chains and work the band in main pattern for 3 cm = 3 rows.
Continue in filet pattern, starting with the stitches before repeat A, working repeat A continuously, and ending with the stitches after repeat C.
For the sleeve shaping, increase 1 st on both sides every 8th row from the band 3 times (every 4th row 5 times) then every 3rd row 7 times, following the pattern = 73 (81) 89 sts.
After 27 cm from the band, finish the piece.
Finishing
Sew the shoulder seams and set in the sleeves. Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
Work 3 rows of dc around the neckline.
Thread the leather cords crosswise through the edges of the slit.
