You Will Need
- Yarn (75% cotton, 25% polyamide; 130 m/50 g) – 650 (700) 750 g bright blue and 50 g white
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
- 5 blue buttons (2.5 cm diameter)
Stitch Patterns and Charts
Main Pattern
Number of stitches is a multiple of 2 + 1.
Work according to the chart. Start with the stitch before the repeat, repeat the pattern repeat continuously, and finish according to the chart.
Work rows 1–4 once, then repeat rows 3 + 4 continuously.
Trim Pattern
Work in single crochet (sc) in straight rows. Begin each row with 1 extra turning chain and finish with 1 sc into the first sc of the previous row.
Gauge
18 sts x 10.75 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked in main pattern.

Back
With blue yarn, chain 101 (109) 117 + 3 turning chain and work in main pattern.
For the side shaping, after 6 cm from the starting row, skip 1 st on each side, then in every 3rd row skip 1 st x 9 = 81 (89) 97 sts.
For the armholes, after 36 cm from the starting row, skip 7 sts on each side = 67 (75) 83 sts.
For the neckline, after 52 (54) 56 cm from the starting row, skip the center 43 sts and work both sides separately from here.
For the inner curve shaping, skip 2 sts in the next row.
On the remaining 10 (14) 18 shoulder sts, finish work after 54 (56) 58 cm from the starting row.
Left Front
With blue yarn, chain 47 (51) 55 + 3 turning chain and work in main pattern.
Work the side shaping and armhole decreases on the right edge as for the back = 30 (34) 38 sts.
After 44 (46) 48 cm from the starting row, for the neckline on the left edge skip 9 sts, then in every 2nd row skip 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, and 2 x 2 sts.
On the remaining 10 (14) 18 shoulder sts, finish work at the same height as the back.
Right Front
Work the same as the left front, but mirror-image.
Sleeves
With blue yarn, chain 65 (73) 79 + 3 turning chain for each sleeve and work in main pattern.
Finish work after 43 cm from the starting row.
Finishing
Sew the shoulder seams.
Edge the front bands with white yarn in the trim pattern, working 4 buttonholes in the 3rd row of the right band (= skip 3 sc, working 3 chains). Make the 1st buttonhole 11.5 cm from the bottom edge, and space the rest 6.5 (7) 7.5 cm apart. Finish when the band is 3 cm wide.
Edge the neckline, including the short sides of the bands, in the same way, working one more buttonhole 1.5 cm from the right edge.
Sew in the sleeves, sew the side seams and sleeve seams. Sew on the buttons.
