Black Lace Crochet Dress

Black Lace Crochet Dress - worn black lace dress   Black Lace Crochet Dress - cold shoulder dress detail

This “Black Lace Dress” model is made with a crochet hook.

You will need:

  • 800 g of viscose silk yarn;
  • 1.5 mm crochet hook.

Make a full-size pattern for the dress pieces. Fabric crocheted from viscose silk yarn will stretch downward significantly during wear and will cling to the figure. Therefore, we recommend adjusting the pattern measurements to your own body measurements. The pieces are worked from the top down, checking the work against the pattern as you go.

Begin the back and front pieces at the shoulder seams, working the stitch pattern from Chart 1.

Once you have worked the pieces to the armhole, experienced crocheters can join the work and crochet in the round with turning. When you reach the waistline, switch to the denser stitch pattern shown in Chart 1a, which also shows the transition from one pattern to the other. Continue working, widening the piece along the side seams according to the pattern. When you finish the skirt, end your work on row 8 (with the puff stitches).

Sew the shoulder and side seams. Finish the bottom edge as follows: work single crochet around one scallop, making 3 sc under the chain between the puff stitch groups, then chain 20, skip the next scallop, and begin working around the following scallop.

Work the sleeves from the top down as well, using the stitch pattern from Chart 1. After working about 10 cm, switch to the denser pattern from Chart 1a, and finish the sleeve on row 8. Edge the straight part at the top of the sleeve with a filet mesh of 2 chains. Sew in the sleeves, starting from the lowest point along the side seam (see photo).

Next, edge the armholes and neckline with small fans of 7-9 double crochet stitches.
