The video tutorial “Vertical Row of Cross Stitches from Top to Bottom” demonstrates how to stitch a neat vertical column of crosses moving downwards.
To start stitching using this technique:
- Make your first half-stitch by bringing the needle from the bottom-left corner of the square to the top-right corner.
- When inserting the needle into the top-right hole, bring it out directly below at the bottom-right corner of the same square.
- Complete the cross by stitching from the top-left corner down toward the bottom-right. As you do this, bring the needle out onto the front surface at the bottom-left corner of the next square below.
Continue repeating this sequence down the column to work the entire row. Once completed, the back side of your fabric will feature neat, parallel vertical stitches arranged in two clean rows.
