Knit your man this wonderful pullover to show him you care.
Pullover size: 48. If you knit with a double strand of yarn, you’ll get the same look as the original.
You will need:
- Yarn Art Super Merino yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 100 g / 280 m)
- 3.5 mm circular needles.
The piece consists of a 2×2 rib — k2, p2, and a “roll” edge – row 1 (right side): purl;
Knitting the Pullover
Next, knit with two strands: rows 2 and 4: k1, sl1 (yarn in front); rows 3 and 5: p1, sl1 (yarn in front); row 6 (knit with 1 strand): knit.
Next, work Patterns 1-4 according to the corresponding charts.
Working the Stretchy Cast-On Edge
With a waste yarn, cast on half the required number of stitches plus 1 st. Then knit with the main color yarn, working row 1 in knit, and continue for 5 rows in stockinette stitch. In row 6, *purl the 1st st, then pull up a new stitch from the row-1 loop of the main color and knit it*. Repeat this process to the end of the row.
Knitting the Back
From the 76 cast-on sts, knit 7 cm of 2×2 rib. After working the “roll,” distribute the stitches as follows: 1 selvage st, 6 sts of Pattern 1, 10 sts of Pattern 2, 6 sts of Pattern 1, 30 sts of Pattern 3, 6 sts of Pattern 1, 10 sts of Pattern 2, and 6 sts of Pattern 1, selvage st. On each side, every 2nd row at a height of 43 cm, bind off 2×3 sts for the armholes. For the neckline, at a height of 65 cm, bind off the center 18 sts and finish each side separately. For the neckline shaping, decrease 3×2 sts on each side every 2nd row. At the same time, decrease for the shoulder slopes every 2nd row: 3×6 and 1×5 from the armhole side.
Knitting the Front
The front of the pullover is knit the same as the back, but with a deeper neckline. Bind off the center 12 sts for the neckline at a height of 61.5 cm and finish each side separately. For the neckline shaping, decrease 3×3 sts on each side every 2nd row. Measure a height of 65 cm and shape the shoulder slopes there the same way as on the back.
Knitting the Sleeve
From 46 cast-on sts, knit 7 cm of 2×2 rib. After working the “roll,” in row 6 increase evenly by 3 sts = 49 sts. Then distribute the stitches as follows: 1 selvage st, 10 sts of Pattern 2, 3 sts of Pattern 1, 21 sts of Pattern 4, 3 sts of Pattern 1, 10 sts of Pattern 2, 1 selvage st. On each side, increase in row 10 by 6×1 st, and every 6th row by 4×1 st = 69 sts. Bind off for the cap 1×6 sts on each side, then every 2nd row 10×1 sts and 3×3 sts, then bind off the remaining 39 sts.
Knitting the Collar
Cast on 88 sts and knit 34 rows of 2×2 rib. Work the “roll” and knit one more knit row. Then knit 2-3 rows with a contrasting waste yarn and bind off.

Finishing
Sew the shoulder seams. Then baste the collar to the neckline and sew it on with a Kitchener (grafting) seam, only after that unravel the waste yarn. Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
The snood is knit simply – the same way as a wide scarf with a textured pattern. At the top, make an opening for threading a drawstring through and an additional opening for buttons.
