Knitted caps are more fashionable than ever for stylish city women. Both sporty baseball caps and classic small-brim models are equally popular.
You will need:
- BEGONIA yarn (100% cotton, 169 m/50 g) — 50 g white;
- 1.5 mm crochet hook;
- a plastic visor.
Chain 136 sts + 2 chain sts for turning. Work 1 round in single crochet (sc).
Then work 27 rounds as follows: *2 sc, 2 chain sts*, repeat *-*. Next, work 10 rounds alternating *2 sc and 1 chain st*. After that, work 6 rounds in sc only. Then decrease evenly by 1 st every 2nd round, first every 10 sts, then every 9, every 8, every 7, every 6, every 5, every 4, every 3, every 2, and every 1.
Decrease the remaining stitches to close. Edge the visor as follows: *2 sc, 2 chain sts*, repeat *-*. Attach or sew the visor to the base. Then work 6 rounds of sc around the base. Fold them inward (like a facing) and hem in place. Starch the finished cap.
