Gauge
14 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked in fancy stitch.
Instructions
With red yarn, chain 64 (68) 72 sts and join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Work in rounds of sc for 3 cm, increasing 4 sts evenly in the last round = 68 (72) 76 sts.
Continue working in rounds in fancy stitch.
After 16 (18) sts and 20 cm from the ribbed band, begin decreasing by working the 3rd and 4th dc together throughout.
After 6 rounds of decreases, pull the working yarn tightly through the remaining stitches to close.
Note: This hat pairs beautifully with a red-and-white striped dress.
