Schematic

Crochet Cropped Top for Girls - body and sleeve measurements

Note! Work the back and front as one piece.

Instructions

With blue yarn, make a starting chain of 97 (109) 121 ch, join into a ring with 1 slip stitch, then work in rounds according to the chart. The beginning of the round falls at the side seam.

Work rounds 4 and 5 in white yarn, then continue in blue yarn.

After 19 (22) 25 cm from the starting row, divide the stitches in the middle for the front and back, and finish both pieces separately.

Back

Work on the back stitches according to the chart in rows back and forth; in row 1, leave 1 repeat = 3 cm unworked on both sides for the armholes.

After 7 (9) 11 cm from the start of the armhole, leave 6 (7) 8 cm unworked along the inner edge for the neckline.

At an armhole height of 9.5 (11.5) 13.5 cm, finish the piece.

Front

Work and finish the piece the same as the back, but with a slit.

At an armhole height of 3.5 (5.5) 7.5 cm, divide the work in the middle for the slit, and finish both sides separately.

At an armhole height of 7 (9) 11 cm, leave the middle 12 (14) 16 cm unworked for the neckline.

Finish the piece at the same height as the back.

Sleeves

For each sleeve, make a starting chain of 33 (39) 45 ch + 3 turning chains instead of the first dc, then work in rows back and forth according to the chart.

Work rows 4 and 5 in white yarn, then continue in blue yarn.

After 11.5 (13.5) 15.5 cm from the starting row, finish the piece.

Finishing

Lightly dampen the pieces, stretch them to the measurements shown in the schematic, and leave to dry completely.

Sew the shoulder seams.

Work 1 row of sc around the neckline and slit edges in blue yarn; on the right edge of the front slit below the neckline, make 1 button loop: work 3 ch, skip 2 sts.

Sew in the sleeves so that the center of the sleeve matches the shoulder seam.

Sew the side seams and sleeve seams. Sew on the button.

Lightly steam all seams when finished.
