You will need: 600 g of pink yarn (100% viscose, 100 g/270 m), 1 button to match the yarn, size 2 mm crochet hook.
Flower motif: chart 2. Worked from the center outward in rounds. Each round is closed with a slip stitch, then chains are worked to turn to the new round. The line on the chart shows how to work a partial motif.
Strip motif: chart 1, rows 4 through 6 are repeated. The strip is 10 cm wide.
Instructions
The dress is made of separate strips worked from chart 1. For the yoke, work 2 strips 45 cm long. For the front, work 4 strips 70 cm long, and for the back (skirt hem), work 5 strips 38 cm long. Join the strips as shown in fig. 1, using a crochet hook and chain arches (see chart 1). Join petal to petal. Work the stand-up collar in the pattern from chart 3, 38 cm long. Sew it to the front of the yoke. Then work two straps in the pattern from chart 3, 18 cm long each, to join the collar to the yoke at the back. Using the same pattern, work 3 straps 6, 7, and 8 cm long to join the two ends of the yoke at the back. Using chart 2, work 2 partial flower motifs to create a smooth transition from the front to the skirt hem at the back. Join them to the dress while working the last round. Work one row of single crochet, one row of double crochet, and two rows of single crochet around the top edge of the piece. Sew on all the straps you made (see fig. 1). Sew a button onto the collar for fastening; the opening in the pattern will serve as the buttonhole. Using yarn doubled, crochet a cord (a chain) about 1 m long. Thread it through the openings in the edging pattern at the back and lace up the dress to fit your figure.
