“Crab Stitch”
Work sc from left to right.
Pattern 2
(Use an 8 mm hook). Crochet pattern on 8 sts = work according to the chart. Start with the sts before the repeat, repeat the pattern continuously, finish with the sts after the repeat, turning the rows as indicated. Repeat rows 1–6 continuously.

Gauge
Pattern 1 (9 mm needles): 14 sts x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm,
Pattern 2 (8 mm hook): 11 sts x 5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note! We recommend making a full-size pattern of the bodice pieces according to the given measurements, periodically laying your work over it, and adjusting increases/decreases as needed.

Instructions
Back
Cast on 84 (92) sts and work in Pattern 1 between the selvage sts. After 35 cm from the starting row, bind off all sts. On the bound-off edge, work Pattern 2 on 65 (73) sts. After 41 cm from the start of Pattern 2, shape the neckline over the center 30 cm according to the full-size pattern. After 45 cm from the start of Pattern 2, finish the piece.
Front
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline. To do this, after 35 cm from the start of Pattern 2, shape the neckline over the center 30 cm according to the full-size pattern. Finish at the same height as the back.
Finishing
Lightly dampen the pieces, stretch them out to the measurements given in the pattern, and leave to dry completely. Sew the shoulder and side seams.
Work around the neckline, lower edge, and sleeve edges with a 7 mm hook, one round of sc and one round of crab stitch.
For the tie, make a chain 150 cm long and work 1 row of slip stitches along both sides. Thread the tie through the first row of Pattern 2.
Lightly steam all seams when finished.
