Hello! Today, we will explore how to embroider using the punch needle technique and what amazing items you can create with this method.
With this technique, you can easily craft beautiful textured pillows, fluffy rugs, and cozy blankets. To get started, you will need a few basic supplies: a punch needle tool, yarn or embroidery threads, a wire threader (to pull the yarn through the needle), and suitable embroidery fabric (such as monk’s cloth or tightly woven linen).
First, we need to transfer the design onto the fabric. You can use carbon tracing paper or draw it freehand. In our example, we sketched a cute little fish.
Take your threaded punch needle and start punching it straight down and back up along the traced outline. Keep your needle close to the fabric as you move to the next stitch, and gently support the loops underneath with your free hand so they don’t pull out as you work.
