Description
The number of chain stitches in the foundation chain should be a multiple of 6 + 1 + turning chain.
Row 1: Ch 6 (turning chain), * 1 dc in each of the next 5 chains, ch 1, skip 1 chain, repeat from *, 1 dc in the next chain.
Row 2: Ch 4 (turning chain), * 1 back post double crochet (BPdc) in the next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 1 BPdc in the next dc, ch 1, repeat from *, 1 dc in the turning chain of the previous row.
Row 3: Ch 4 (turning chain), * 1 front post double crochet (FPdc) in the next post stitch, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, 1 FPdc in the next post stitch, ch 1, repeat from *, 1 dc in the turning chain of the previous row.
