Assembly Diagram

Instructions
For the front of the bag, make 7 hexagons, joining them in the last round following the assembly diagram. To do this, instead of the 2nd chain of each chain-space arch, work 1 slip stitch into the neighboring chain-space arch of the previous hexagon.
Then make 6 edge motifs and, arranging them as shown in the assembly diagram, join them to the edges of the hexagons in the last row.
Now work an edging around the free edges of the hexagons as follows: attach the yarn with 1 slip stitch at one corner, work 1 sc and ch 2 into the corner, then work 1 dc and ch 2 into each of the next 9 chain-space arches, finish with 1 sc into the next corner.
For the side panel, chain 22 + 1 turning chain and work in the fancy stitch pattern.
After 70 cm, fasten off.
For both handles, chain 130 + 1 turning chain and work 6 rows in the main stitch pattern. Sew the handles along their length.
Finishing
Baste the side panel between the front and back of the bag, leaving 2 edge motifs and 1 hexagon free at the top edge.
Then work an edging around the entire front and entire back of the bag one after another as follows, catching the side panel as you go:
- Round 1: work single crochet, the number of stitches must be a multiple of 6, then finish the round with 1 slip stitch,
- Round 2: ch 1, 1 sc into the 1st stitch, skip 2 stitches, 6 dc into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, * 1 sc, skip 2 stitches, 6 dc into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, repeat from *, finish with 1 sl st into the 1st sc.
Sew the handles to the wrong side at the top edge of the bag, 16 cm apart.
