Stitch Patterns and Charts
Main Pattern
Work in single crochet (sc), beginning each row with 1 extra turning chain.
Note! Work holding 2 strands of black and 2 strands of rust yarn together!
Gauge
6.5 sc x 7.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked with 4 strands held together.
Instructions
For the back panel, chain 28 sts + 1 turning chain and work in the main pattern.
In row 16, for the handle, skip the middle 10 stitches using a chain. In the following row, work sc into these stitches again.
After 25 cm = 19 rows from the starting chain, fasten off.
Work the front panel the same way.
For the side panel, chain 4 sts + 1 turning chain and work in the main pattern, increasing 1 st in the middle in row 1 and row 19 from the starting chain (= work 2 sc into 1 base stitch) = 6 sts, then continue straight.
After 67 cm = 50 rows from the starting row, work the 3rd and 4th stitches together, then in the following 6th row work the 2nd and 3rd stitches together.
After 92 cm = 70 rows from the starting row, fasten off.
Finishing
Join the side panel to the front and back panels along three sides using sc, working sc into 1 base stitch at the corners.
