The holiday season is the most magical time of the year. Preparing for it involves planning everything perfectly — from home decorations and the festive menu to gifts for your loved ones. Handmade gifts are extra special, especially when you involve your children in creating them. Making DIY paper crafts is not only fun but also incredibly beneficial for developing a child’s fine motor skills. Today, we invite you to make a festive Santa Claus using the origami technique. The process is simple, enjoyable, and won’t take much time!
Materials needed:
- Square sheets of red one-sided origami paper (10×10 cm);
- Black marker;
- Red marker or felt-tip pen.
Instructions:
- Prepare your 10×10 cm squares of colored paper.
- Fold a square sheet of paper diagonally.
- Fold the right corner inward toward the center line of the square.
- Fold the left corner in the exact same way.
- For convenience, turn the Santa Claus paper blank over. Fold the piece in half by bringing the bottom corner up to align with the top corner.
- Now, let’s create a beautiful beard for our Santa. To do this, fold the top corner down.
- Next, we need to make a small hat brim. Fold the top edge up to form a narrow white strip.
- Fold the protruding right side backward.
- Repeat the previous step on the left side to shape the figure.
- Draw a cheerful face for your Santa! YOUR ORIGAMI SANTA CLAUS IS READY!
