Dome embroidery floss is a premium-quality thread made from 100% cotton, manufactured in South Korea. Dome floss is sold in 5-meter (5.5 yards) skeins.
It serves as an excellent alternative to DMC floss: the Dome color chart consists of 430 shades and is almost entirely identical to the DMC palette (with the exception of a few rarely used colors). The threads boast colorfast, high-quality dyes and a standard 6-strand structure. They are slightly thicker than DMC, which is a great advantage when cross-stitching on Aida cloth, as the stitches lay fuller and provide better fabric coverage.
The dye and texture of the threads perfectly withstand regular washing (even with detergents) and continuous handling. The 5-meter skein size is highly economical, allowing you to save money when purchasing colors you only need in small amounts, and the skeins fit perfectly into standard floss organizers.

Несмотря на то, что сами производители пишут на своих бобинках (а мулине DOME продаётся на картонных бобинках по 6 м) с обратной стороны соответствие номерам DMC, это даже близко не соответствует реальности.
При сравнении живой карты того и другого выясняется, к примеру, что цвета 620 и 624, которые согласно приведенной таблице (и производителю! у меня вся палитра есть) соответствуют цветам 333 и 340, в реальности находятся 620 между 208 и 3837,а 624 близок, но не идентичен 155.
Допускаю, впрочем, что указанные производителем соответствия способствуют не столько идентичной, сколько гармонически качественной замене. однако подобного опыта не проводила
