- Yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyester, 72 m/220 g) – 200 g main medium-beige color and 200 g rust, pistachio, white,
- light gray, or yellow (choose one color)
- 8 mm crochet hook
Stitch Patterns and Charts
Main Stitch Pattern
Work in single crochet (sc) in rounds, starting each round with 1 extra chain (ch) and ending with 1 slip stitch (sl st) into the first sc. To double a stitch, work 2 sc into the same base stitch.
Gauge
7.5 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked in main stitch pattern.

Instructions
For the base, using the main medium-beige yarn, chain 8 and work rounds 1-5 following the crochet chart. You should now have 42 stitches.
Continue working straight without increases: work 3 rounds in the main color, 9 rounds in the accent color, and 5 rounds in the main color, increasing 1 stitch at each of the 4 corners of the base in rounds 3, 6, 9, and 12 = 58 sc. After the last round, cut the yarn and weave in the end.
Finishing
Using the accent color yarn, make 2 handles. For each handle, cut 4 strands 150 cm long and braid a cord of the needed length following the instructions above. Sew the handles to the front and back panels of the bag on the outside.
