Ariadna Floss Color Chart & Old-to-New Number Conversion Table

The ARIADNA thread factory is currently one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of threads in Poland. Founded back in 1897 in the city of Łódź, Ariadna combines rich heritage, decades of tradition, and modern manufacturing philosophies that continue to attract crafters worldwide.

Operating under strict ISO 9001 quality management standards, Ariadna guarantees world-class products crafted using eco-friendly technologies. Their safety and skin-friendliness are fully certified by the Öko-Tex Standard 100 (Product Class I). Thanks to this dedication to excellence, Ariadna threads have earned prestigious industry awards and widespread recognition across both domestic and international markets.

Today, we are excited to feature Ariadna embroidery floss. These European crafting threads come in standard 8-meter (8.7 yards) skeins and feature a lovely matte finish with medium softness. The complete Ariadna color palette includes approximately 330 shades. Ariadna threads are frequently used in patterns featured in popular European embroidery magazines, such as Hafty Polskie, Haft gobelinowy, and others.

Please note that the Ariadna palette was updated some time ago, resulting in expanded shade options and changed catalog numbers. Because many stitchers still use vintage patterns from older magazines, the downloadable archive includes a special old-to-new number conversion table.

Please note: Because these reference charts originate from European catalogs, some descriptive color names on the images may not be in English. However, the universal Ariadna thread numbers are standard and clearly readable.
